Inquiry at the Hessian State Archive in Wiesbaden has taught that also Gerichtsschöffe (Layjudge) Johan Caspar Macrander has used a seal. The image of the (yet unknown) seal will soon be published on this website.

18-12-2009:
Jim Macrander discovered a certain Justus Langmann from Kaufungen (close to the city of Kassel, Hessen), who was in service of the Gymnasium of Korbach (Waldeck) as a Magister (Master) and attended the grand opening on the 7th of may 1579. A colleague of Justus Langmann was Johannes Nicolai from Mengeringhausen, a brother-in-law of Arnold Langemann (Macrander). It seems plausible that Justus Langmann was a close relative of Arnold. Although, this is not yet proven.

10-12-2009:
From a document was shown that Johan Caspar Macrander was a Gerichtsschöffe (lay judge) at the city court of Wetzlar. This time in a lawsuit from 1719 until 1726. This person is Johan Caspar Macrander, son or grandson of Mayor Philips Josias Macrander.

Image received of the wax seal of Johann Henrich Martin Macrander (*1750-†1786) from the city archive of Frankfurt am main. The image shows a cartouche (oval-shaped shield) within two lions holding a tree. The image of the seal will soon be published on the page 'Coat of Arms'.

The uncle of Arnold Langemann (Macrander) was Kanzler (Chancellor) Anton Holmann (*1535-†1606), member of the "Vormundschafliche Regierung" (interim government) of Waldeck-Eisenberg, due to the death of Count Franz III of Waldeck-Eisenberg in 1597.
